Gakked from [livejournal.com profile] gregoria44 and [livejournal.com profile] silver_shewolf

Let's start the new year off right; The problem with LJ: we all think we are so close, but really, we [don't] know nothing everything (!) about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.

Just remember I am not responsible for the disturbing answers you might get. >:-D.

Yes, I consider myself very much so and quite happily.

Although Louisiana has no statutes for civil unions for same-sex couples. It doesn't matter to me.

Lou is my husband in every sense of the word, if not legally. We've been together 16 wonderful years.

Straight out of a Torchwood episode!

I was working at a hair salon and one of my fellow co-workers was performing at a drag show in a local club. He asked me to attend and I begrudgingly accepted. The 'party' bar was right next to a very quiet pub and I decided to go to the pub rather than stay in the party bar until the show started. Lou was sitting there and delivered the most unfortunate of pick up lines. Remember, this swas during the time they had Jeffery Dahmer on trial. His line, "I could just eat you up!"

Running away screaming doesn't describe how fast I moved to another seat. But he had such a hurt look on his face after I did. I immediately came back and bought him a drink and talked to him.

I'm still here, so apparently he wasn't a psycho killer and we've been together ever since. ;)

My friend never forgave me for not attending his show but he still refers to himself as 'cupid' when we see each other.

16 years? Wow! Congrats to you and Lou, and may you have many more. That's quite inspiring really.

(I'm on year 11 right now, so not doing too badly myself! ;))

Congrats to you too!

I don't see how some people could call it quits after just a couple of years. It's all about communication. Sure, we argue daily but we both just give a little and always try to be honest with each other.

Many more happy years to you as well. ;-)

Are you from Louisiana originally? and do you have a southern accent *said with my South Carolina drawl* ???

Actually I was born in McKenzie, Tennessee. Roughly 107 miles from Memphis. My family relocated here in 1980.
Because of this, Most people say I have a very "Midwestern accent" rather than a typical southern one.

I also tend to talk faster than your typical Southern American.

Y'all and ain't are however, the most frequently used words in my vocabulary.

And yes, I have to constantly watch that I don't let poor Much slip and use them when writing him. ;-)

Good question!

Y'all is one of my favorite words of all time!

My own southern drawl is usually only noticeable when I get excited about something. I picked up my dad's fairly neutral Iowa accent, and he was in broadcasting, too, so essentially he had no accent!

Have you ever dyed your hair some unnatural color? If yes, what color?

Heheheh, Wow! Which one they're all unnatural? ;)

Being prematurely grey, (started going at 28 about 50/50 salt and pepper now) I started helping nature out with my natural medium brown colour.

As of 6 months ago (Roughly about the time RH hit the US). I started going a little lighter, a more 'Much-ly' dark blonde.

I recently switched colours and now it has a slightly reddish blonde hue I don't really care for. So I'm going back to dark beige blonde again.

As a former hairdresser, I have done my hair every colour from platinum blonde and Elvis black to electric blue.

I miss the colour I was born with sometimes.

What do you want to do? What is your dream?

If you could live in another country which would it be?

If you won the Lottery what would be the first thing you bought?

Cheers!

What do I want to do? Having done four movies back to back, I've had a taste of my dream job, working in costume for the movies. If I could,I would completely live the gypsie lifestyle and do it full time.

My dream? I want for someone to pull out something I created many years from now with reverence and say "This was created by..."

Another country?, Oh so easy...France and in no other city but Paris the city of light.

If I won the lottery? Hmmmm It's so hard to say. Being the little miser I am, I would probably stash it away somewhere, I would love to give some of it to a worthy cause (gay rights and AIDS research) and the people I care about.

The fun loving fanboy side of me wants to scream, "Buy Tiger Aspect Media and pay off actors to keep their rolls and keep a certain series from going down the tubes."

When my son becomes the famous producer/director/writer that he wants to be, I'll be sure to give him your name! I'm hoping he'll produce the scripts I write - and with your writing skills, I'll put in a plug for you, too! We must dream BIG!!!

Favourite Movies?

Easy, Blade Runner I've seen it about 600 times. Whenever I get really bored I'll pop it in the dvd player. I love the film noir aspect mixed with science fiction. It's so melancholy and dark.

Second, and don't laugh, Hackers. Seeing the young Angelina Jolie with Johnny Lee Miller. It's totally crack, but I love how they overdid the tech in it, which was pretty lame in those days.

Pad it with the classics, Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind.

Late again *le sigh* but I has questions!

What's been your favourite thing to work on? (An object, a person, a film etc, a piece of art...)

How would Lou describe you to someone who hadn't met you?

What unexpected talent would you like to discover that you had?

The sea or the mountains?
