1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Started writing again!  Joined LiveJournal.  Tiled my fireplace.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Semi,  Still need to stick to the diet and get behind the wheel of a car again. (stoopid phobia!)

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, daughter of a supervisor where I work.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.  But I did lose some of my favourite movie stars.

5. What countries did you visit?
None :( I gotta travel more.

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A job on another movie.

7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Taking a nap on election day and waking up to a whole new era of diversity.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Joining the Local 478 Film Union.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Getting my Dollies finished in time for Christmas.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Just a nasty case of food poisoning (or stomach virus),that made me take my first real sickday from work EVER.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Blind hemmer!  "God as my witness, Ill never hem a pair of trousers by hand again!" (Stands in front of Tara in silhouette holding up a pair of pants as mood theme music swells.)

12. Where did most of your money go?
Electronics and computer stuff as usual.  Got both volumes of Robin Hood from Amazon.

13. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Costuming and writing

14. What song will always remind you of 2008?
Not as We by Alanis Morissette

15. Compared to this time last year, are you richer or poorer?
No movie money, so a little poorer.

16. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Travel.

17. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Wasted time.

18. How will you be spending Christmas?
With my family and friends.

19. Did you fall in love in 2008?
I'm married, I'm always in love. ;D

20. What was your favourite TV program?
I squeed quite a bit over Robin Hood BBC, Merlin and Doctor Who

21. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I don't hate people, just their actrions, but yes someone is off my christmas card list.

22. What was the best book you read?
Too busy writing one to read any.

23. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Making ringtones out of my favourite songs for my iphone.

24. What did you want and get?

25. What did you want and not get?
More movie work :P

26. What was your favourite film of this year?
I would almost go to see "Day the Earth Stood Still" but I hate movie theaters, I can wait for the dvd.

27. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Worked then relaxed, I hit the 42 mile mark. ouch!

28. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not finding out about my fav actors leaving their shows next series, (Glares at Jonas and David, GRRRRR!)

29. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Revisiting some of the looks I wore in the 80's and 90's again.  20somethings think I'm stealing THEIR looks!

30. What kept you sane?
Warped sense of humor. Writing watching my fav fandom shows.

31. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Unhealthy crush on Kevin Jonas (what is he, like 12?) Very healthy crush on Sam Troughton,(Please bring him to me in a rainbow coloured jumper Santa, please?)

32. What political issue stirred you the most?
The usual ones, gay marriage, presidential election, economic problems

33. Who did you miss?
My sister, she moved to Dallas and is the closest of my immediate family.

34. Who was the best new person you met?
Everyone on my flist! but especially,

35. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
It is not the time you have, but what you make of the time you have.
When you have naturally curly hair, a stocking cap can be your best friend. (Learned that from Much!)

Must knit myself a stocking hat...I share your naturally-curly pain... Humidity is our enemy, roundbrushes our friends.

And you totally made me "awww" on #34. Aloud. Pretty sure Manley thinks I'm weird(er) for "awww"ing at a computer screen...

Now. Wonder how I get up with our dear boy Sam, all clad in a full-spectrum hued jumper??

I did the 'awwww' thing, too, on #34. Thanks... for sharing your writing here. I won't pressure you to get more TA up, though I tell you that waiting for each chapter is just torture, I tell ya', just torture!! ;)

And Sam... yum. Yes... My heart belongs to him!
